Eline Electrics
Privacy Policy
Last updated 8 May 2026
Eline Electrics ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. What we collect
We collect information you give us when you request a quote, book a service, or contact us. This typically includes your name, postcode, phone number, email address, property address, and a description of the work you need done. If you upload photos with a quote request, we store those alongside your enquiry.
We also collect technical information automatically — your IP address, device type, browser, pages visited, and approximate location — through our website analytics so we can understand how the site is used and improve it.
2. How we use your information
- To prepare and send quotes, schedule installs, and complete the work you've asked us to do.
- To contact you about your enquiry, your job, warranty matters, and follow-up service.
- To process payments via Stripe (we do not store full card numbers — Stripe handles that).
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations as a licensed electrical contractor.
- To send service updates and (only if you opt in) marketing communications.
3. When we share your information
We share information only when it's necessary to deliver the service you've asked for or where the law requires us to. That includes:
- Manufacturers and suppliers, when product warranty registration requires it.
- Stripe, for payment processing.
- Government rebate or accreditation bodies (for example, Solar Victoria) when you've asked us to claim a rebate on your behalf.
- Our cloud hosting and email providers, who hold the data on our behalf.
- Law enforcement or regulators where we're legally required to disclose.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Storage and security
Your information is stored on secured servers operated by reputable cloud providers, primarily within Australia. We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We retain customer records for the period required by Australian tax, electrical safety, and warranty regulations (typically 7–10 years).
5. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that's inaccurate or out of date.
- Delete your information, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations.
- Stop sending you marketing communications (you can also unsubscribe directly from any email we send).
6. Contact us
For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, email t.bui@nexuselectric.com.au or call 0434 906 906. If you're not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be communicated to existing customers by email.
